Residency Program

SLMA offers a three year ACGME accredited Resident training program in Internal Medicine. Residents rotate through the Leonard J. Chabert Medical Center Hospital and Clinics. We currently have 8 positions in each PGY level (PGY-1 through PGY-3) for a total of 24.

The program stresses academic excellence throughout the training experience, offering a learning environment that balances the personal and professional needs of our residents. Residents divide their time among general medicine and subspecialty services, intensive care units, ambulatory care experiences, consultation rotations, emergency rooms and long-term care settings.
