i like the idea of time anomalies — people start acting out of sync or repeating phrases. perhaps near our story climax, i also like the idea once he steals the drug the second time, a sequence of him experimenting with it in a motel room, determining that volume does effect how far back in time he can goes, once confident he hatches a plan to go back in time far enough to a female relationship he had initially wasted effectively trading it in for drugs. it works he thinks he found bliss, then the side effects start happening. at this point i want a corporate security officer introduced, the company funding the time travel drug tracked him down and after an interesting unknowing interview/test offers him a job as a product tester for a lot of money, forcing our character to again choose drugs over the love of his life. now i am having trouble deciding how we can really kick this up a notch, i want our character to get access to all kinds of time altering drugs and binge hard on them, i want to unpack time lines do matter and are being loosely managed by corporate interests very far into the future, i like the idea of our character briefly being a child, we aren’t going to dwell on the corporate back story this story is about our main character, he is addicted to drugs as much as he addicted to try to fix regret.
